On May 5, 2022 RAM launched the first offering of telehealth at KCAC Western Heights. This soft launch was a great opportunity for stakeholders to come together to determine best practices and process to serve the community members of Western Heights. Dr. Paul Hart was present virtually and will be the primary telehealth provider for the Western Heights telehealth access station. In addition, longtime CORE volunteer Tina Riley, RN was the onsite volunteer to assist clients during the visit. This soft launch allowed opportunity for great conversations about processes and supplies as well as a successful trial telehealth encounter with Dr. Hart. In addition, the team was able to meet with Tracey Holt who is the KCAC Western Heights Neighborhood Resource Coordinator. She is very knowledgeable about the community, resources, and a great advocate. On-site telehealth will be available at this location every Thursday from 1-4 for the month of May. The eTHRIVE team will continue to collaborate with RAM to determine the best processes, development of tools to measure and collect data, and opportunities for student involvement. In addition, the eTHRIVE team will provide further support once additional telehealth equipment arrives through education and technology support.
