On June 18, 2022, the RAM Telehealth equipment purchased through the eTHRIVE grant arrived. This equipment will soon be integrated at all RAM site-based and pop-up clinic telehealth offerings to enhance the quality of telehealth visits. The equipment includes hardware that increases the capacity of traditional communication only telehealth visits to include auscultation with a digital stethoscope, oxygen saturation levels, ear and oral exams, and high-quality and up-close views of dermatology conditions.

In the coming weeks, the eTHRIVE simulation and technology team will work with the RAM telehealth team to test and install this new equipment into RAM’s current telehealth platform, CareClix. Once installed, the eTHRIVE team will also develop an implementation and training strategy to prepare both providers and nurses from the RAM core telehealth team. By using intentional onboarding strategies to implement hardware and train the RAM telehealth team ensures the telehealth care provides by RAM aligns with current best practices of telehealth care. The eTHRIVE team is looking forward to working with the core RAM telehealth team to integrate this new equipment at two site-based RAM telehealth locations in Knoxville and a mobile telehealth unit to be used at pop-up clinics as needed.
